Welcome to Econet Telecom Lesotho Mobile App (Econet App Lesotho), an App provided and controlled by ETL. This policy applies to the users of this App, and the App and ETL. ETL is a digital service provider, operating in Lesotho for provision of telecommunications and digital services, located at Corner Kingsway and Palace Roads (P.O. Box 1037), Maseru, Lesotho.
Econet App Lesotho is your all-in-one mobile subscription management solution, designed to simplify your experience with Econet's mobile services. With a user-friendly interface and a suite of features tailored to meet your needs, Econet App Lesotho puts the power of subscription management in your hands.
From you, we will need this information before you use the App. In an event that withhold your consent, you will not be able to use this App.
a. Your Mobile number – the MSISDN – for us to retrieve your profile and balances so that you may see your balances and transact smoothly.
b. Seamless Integration with Subscriber Information: With your permission, Econet App Lesotho seamlessly integrates with the SIM registration system to retrieve your subscriber profile name, providing a personalized experience.
ETL collects your personal information and uses it to provide you with the relevant and useful experience while you use this App. The information we collect is for -
a. Balance Overview: Keep track of your core balance, data bundles, calling bundles, social media bundles, and SMS bundles, or any balances, all in one place, so that you are always aware of your subscription usage. For billing purposes, Econet App Lesotho securely records transactions to a database, providing you with accurate billing and transaction history.
b. Bundle Purchases: Easily purchase various bundles directly through the App with just a few taps. Econet App Lesotho makes it simple to manage and top up your subscriptions.
c. Roaming Status: to stay informed about your roaming status in real-time, we use your roaming status to ensure that you are aware of any additional charges or limitations when using ETL services abroad.
d. PUK Number Access: In case of emergencies or SIM card issues, Econet App Lesotho provides quick access to your PUK (Personal Unlock Key) numbers, essential for troubleshooting.
e. Customer Care: Under "Help," the app requests permission to redirect to WhatsApp and opens a chat with Mpoi to provide customer care and support.
For us to provide you with this convenience and secure connectivity, our App is integrated with other ETL systems and servers only for this purpose. This includes, and may be for the following reasons:
a. OTP (One-Time Password) Security: To ensure the highest level of security, Econet App Lesotho utilizes OTP verification for secure authentication and access to your account. This adds an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access.
b. Transaction History: Review your past activities and usage history within the app, allowing you to plan and manage your subscriptions more effectively.
c. Customized Recommendations: Based on your usage patterns, Econet App Lesotho can suggest personalized bundle options to help you optimize your subscription plan.
d. Traffic Cameras/Webcast Integration: to give you real-time insights into traffic conditions and relevant updates with Econet App Lesotho's integration with traffic cameras/webcasts.
This data that we process, that you provide and that we automatically process, is only processed, and retained until the end of your transaction. This means information is processed per session, then discarded (NOT stored on the App) after the session is terminated.
a. Econet App Lesotho prioritizes user privacy and ensures that all personal and sensitive information is securely managed and encrypted.
b. The app does not retain any user information while you're not logged in, ensuring your privacy is protected.
c. As the data subject, you have rights over your information, including withdrawal of your consent on the processing of your information, whether it is the User Provided or automatically processed information.
We are determined to provide proper security safeguards for your information; there are in place physical, electronic, and procedural measures to protect your information that we process and retain.
While your mobile number is active on this App, ETL believes that it is you or someone who has your consent who is using it, thus, we do not take responsibility where you claim misuse of your number. As a result, we advise the use of strong passport on your device and that you do not share your OTP with anyone unless you so prefer.
By using this App, unless where you have expressly denied us access, you consent to our processing of your information in line with this policy as updated from time to time, read together with the laws of Lesotho.
