Purpose
To provide first level system support and monitor optimal system performance, availability, data integrity and
accuracy in line with the set performance target.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
• Researches and recommends on new hardware and system software technologies.
• Receives, troubleshoots and resolves all business support systems problems and computing
environments.
• Monitors and reports system availability and uptime within the Billing & Information System department according
to defined standards.
• Tracks and routes problems and requests resolutions as per OLA with business
• Creates and amends user profiles upon approval in Mobile financial systems such as Ecocash and Ecorec.
• Configures Mobile financial systems and Interfacing systems, resolves end user queries and escalates when
necessary.
• Implements System Change Request upon approval in the Mobile financial Systems of versions and reports
and maintains paper trail.
• Monitors E-channels (such as Mobile Transactions, POS transactions), reports exceptions and gives vupdates.
Performs tests of patches on the Mobile financial systems and application upgrades (User Acceptance Testing).
Qualifications & Experience
· Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent.
· 2 to 4 years’ Information Technology experience.
Competencies
· Knowledge of systems security.
· Knowledge of Information Systems controls.
